Really like the book. I have some "C" and Delphi (Object Pascal) knowledge from 20-15 years ago, but I was never more than a hobbyist programmer. I agree the book has typos and I have kept an errata list to send to Troy. Just work each chapter in order and resist the urge to jump around until you get to at least chapter 10.iPad App Tutorial Development
Even with those, I published my first App by the time I reached chapter 11. I'm in the process of developing five others, three of which are way beyond my knowledge, but having worked my way through more of the book, I'm not afraid to try.

Worst case you can read the book and when you get stuck, at least you can write somewhat understandable questions to the coders that frequent stackoverflow ... :) And visit the links to Stanford cs193 that are in the book.iPad App Tutorial Development
